Sources and Accuracy

Almost all data in our family's database are from notes gathered at the 2006 reunion. The rest (mostly regarding Herman and Mary and their children) is from the "Your Martin Heritage" series of articles (also available on this web site) written by Larry Martin.

A lot of information is missing, especially from about the third generation down. Mostly, dates and places of birth, marriage, and death. As the notes were handwritten, reading errors are possible (spelling, spouse shown as child and vice-versa, duplications, deceased vs living, etc.) We put "Not available" to highlight facts that are still needed. If we knew someone was deceased, but didn't have date of death, we put "Not available." There may be deceased appearing as living. That means we didn't know they were deceased.
